EgyRuns ("we", "our", "the app") is a mobile application that helps runners in Egypt discover, join, and organize group runs. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

• Account information: email address and display name, used to create and secure your account via Firebase Authentication.
• Profile information: profile photo, bio, and running preferences you choose to add.
• Location data: with your permission, your device's location is used to show runs and groups happening near you. Location is not collected when the app is not in use.
• User content: runs, groups, comments, and photos you create or upload within the app.
• Social data: friend connections, group memberships, and run participation, so the app can show relevant activity to you and your friends.
• Device and usage data: basic diagnostic and crash information used to keep the app reliable.

How We Use Information

• To operate core app features: finding nearby runs, joining groups, and connecting with friends.
• To personalize content you see, such as nearby runs and friend activity.
• To maintain the security and integrity of your account.
• To improve app performance and fix bugs.

Data Storage

Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, and related services). We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

Sharing With Other Users

Certain information — such as your display name, profile photo, and run activity — is visible to other users depending on your privacy settings and the app's social features (friends, groups, blocking). You control who can see this information through in-app privacy and blocking controls.

Your Choices

• You can edit or delete your profile information at any time from within the app.
• You can disable location access at any time through your device settings; some features will be limited as a result.
• You can block other users to control who can interact with you or see your content.
• You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at the email below.

Children's Privacy

EgyRuns is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
